British Green Academy is an international Cambridge school in Podgorica, created to give children a strong education in an environment where they feel happy, known and supported.

The Cambridge programme provides the academic foundation of our education. It gives children a structured path through their learning while encouraging curiosity, understanding and independent thinking.
At BGA, we bring that learning to life through practical experiences, projects, discussion and exploration. Whenever it adds something meaningful to a lesson, learning can move outdoors and into the environment around us.
This combination allows children to build strong academic skills while remaining active participants in their own learning.
The Green School you sent follows a similar principle by combining Cambridge academics with experiential, nature-based and cross-curricular learning; I think this is one of the strongest ideas to carry into BGA’s identity, without copying their separate formal “Green Curriculum” terminology.
Being a green school means more to us than spending time outdoors.
For our youngest children, it begins simply — exploring, planting, observing and becoming comfortable in nature. As children grow, those experiences develop into questions, investigations and a deeper understanding of the environment.
Nature can become part of Science, creative work, projects and everyday conversations. Children begin to understand where things come from, how natural systems work, how resources are used and why the choices we make matter.
In this way, environmental awareness grows naturally alongside the child.
Our classes have a maximum of 15 students, supported by two teachers.
Keeping classes small is a deliberate part of the way we work. It gives teachers time to understand how each child learns, recognise their strengths and notice when they need additional support or a new challenge.
It also creates a classroom where children have the confidence to participate, ask questions and be themselves.

We are open throughout the year, with summer and winter camps during the school holidays, giving children opportunities to continue exploring, creating and spending time together beyond the regular school term.
